WALK the TALK!

John 17:20-23, “20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

Ephesians 4:1-6, “1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit-- just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

THE CALL TO A WORTHY LIVING

Ephesians 4:1, “1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”

THE CONCERN TO A WORTHY LIVING

Ephesians 4:4-6, “4There is one body and one Spirit-- just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

THE CONDUCT TO A WORTHY LIVING

Ephesians 4:2-3, “2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

PEACEMAKER

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, “9Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: 10If one falls down,  his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls  and has no one to help him up! 11Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.  But how can one keep warm alone? 12Though one may be overpowered,  two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

LOVING

“Anybody can be a heart specialist. The only requirement is loving somebody.”—Angie Papadakis

“Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young.”—Ladies' Home Journal

“The loneliest place in the world is the human heart when love is absent.”—E.C. McKenzie

PATIENT

James 5:7-8, “7Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. 8You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.”

“A man is a hero, not because he is braver than anyone else, but because he is brave for ten minutes longer.” —Emerson

GENTLE

“In our rough-and-rugged individualism, we think of gentleness as weakness, being soft, and virtually spineless. Not so! ... Gentleness includes such enviable qualities as having strength under control, being calm and peaceful when surrounded by a heated atmosphere, emitting a soothing effect on those who may be angry or otherwise beside themselves, and possessing tact and gracious courtesy that causes others to retain their self-esteem and dignity.... Instead of losing, the gentle gain. Instead of being ripped off and taken advantage of, they come out ahead!” – Charles Swindoll

HUMBLE

1 Peter 5:5-6, “5Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,  "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."  6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.”

"Humility is to make a right estimate of one’s self.“    Charles Spurgeon

“"Humility." I think that if we are humble, we have all the graces.” - Augustine
